I've got a new static tone in my right ear. It's around 5-10 db. Hearing this is so weird because my other tones are around 60-70db...
When I had only t, i could at least shower, make myself dinner, go on walks, clean the room. With h, you cannot do f#cking anything.

Hi @Thizzle, unfortunately I had no improvements at all. Probably my hyperacusis is less bothersome, but my tinnitus is getting worse by a little bit. I am getting new tones every 2-3 months even tho I protect my ears as much as I can :/
Feels like I'm just playing a waiting game till my tinnitus gets severe. Maybe I'm overreacting but I'll never not be cautious

Yea I have a couple pair of custom molds. Having the molds taken is painless and only takes a minute or two. Feels like shaving cream or whipped cream in your ears.

Ok, well hopefully your conditions stay more mild and don't get as bad as my severe tinnitus and various other conditions. Then you won't be able to sleep, either. Remember, as bad as it may seem now, it can get worse. So keep a positive mindset and seek therapy if needed.
What makes you think you have it more severe? You should remember that it could get worse for you , you could get pain from sound and have to be in silence majority of the day, you could also develop VSS and start basically not being able to see. Hopefully, your symptoms will stay milder as I really think with your anxiety you wouldn't be able to cope.
My T is loud enough that I can't sleep well. Yes, it can always get worse, and I have experienced worsening over the last 2 years since my T turned severe, including new related issues. I have some visual floaters but had those even before severe T, even before my low frequency T.
It's just constant suffering for 18 months, you come on here for hope but have the same few who want to drag you down.
I'm a shadow, with nothing coming I'm sure it's close, I'm not like others who jump from one feeling to the next as they have rest bites

I only have my own internal perception of myself that may or may not align with how the outside world views me.

I will wear peltors and foam earplugs of course, but I'm afraid it won't help much, my loudness h is terrible. My window is still not soundproofed :((
I think about all the people I saw at shows that never wear earplugs. I wanna grab them by their shoulders and tell them it's not worth it.
I used to play shows without earplugs. When I wasn't touring it was usually 2-3 rehearsals and 2 shows a week standing in front of an 8x10 speaker cabinet. That's eight 10inch speakers. Look up Ampeg svt-810e "the fridge" or sometimes referred to as "the coffin"
Hard to say, just sad, I’m just hoping to start seeing improvement, pre worsening my T was improving daily, so improving is all I’ve known about this condition
